Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q: What happens to the wine over time?
A: The wine color in your piece of original artwork will evolve over time. I have experimented a lot to create a multi-step process to ensure the color lasts long-term, but much like wine does in a bottle, the color will mature as it ages. That's what makes this so unique!
  • Q: What if I really want the wine color to stay exactly as it appears now?
A: I totally understand that. If you love the wine colors and don't want them to change at all, making a print is the best option. If there's a piece you would like me to make a print of, contact me.
  • Q: How do I care for my wine art painting?
A: Wine is a fragile medium. The surface is delicate and shouldn't be touched. I recommend framing works on paper behind UV-protectant glass or acrylic, and ideally place behind a mat to create a small space between the surface and the glass. If you don't plan on using a mat, please let me know so I can include spacers. Avoid displaying the art in direct sunlight. The color will shift over time, but taking these precautions will help protect the piece from dust and light.
  • Q: Do you offer free shipping?
A: Yes! I offer free domestic shipping with a small charge for international shipping. Please allow up to 2-3 weeks for me to process and safely package your piece of art.
  • Q: But... do you drink it, too?
A: YES! Most of the bottle is used for painting, but I can't open a new bottle without trying at least one glass. I've often heard that folks are a little sad the wine gets used for painting instead of drinking, but the way I look at it... this way the beautiful wine lives on forever!
  • Q: I don't exactly see what I'm looking for. Can you create something for me?
A: Absolutely! Information about commissions can be found here
