Live Wine Painting & Workshops

My goal is to provide

  • something brand new

  • something fun that sparks connection

  • something approachable & creative

  • something that surprises & delights

  • something memorable long after the event

Since 2016, I have used real wine to showcase the spectrum of beautiful colors that different varieties create. My goal is to express the passion, energy and love behind every bottle of wine. Wine is filled with so much story, and I connect with that history as I paint. Unlike other mediums, wine starts off as artistry in a bottle, and I love that I get to take the art of wine and transform it into wine art. I’ve recently survived breast cancer and bring a new perspective to my creative work. My art has been featured in Food Network Magazine, ELLE DÉCOR, Imbibe Magazine, and 5280 Home, among others.

Live Wine Painting

I create paintings using real wine as my medium while guests enjoy the event, with a selection of wine varietals at the client’s request and pieces painted with corks as my paintbrush. Particular focus can be placed on wines highlighted at the event, and any additional specific wines that are important to the event, with a minimum of eight wine varieties highlighted.

I rotate through several paintings over the course of the event so that guests can see the progression of the paintings and get to see some of my process. I can share how I got started painting with wine, where I find inspiration, how the difference in painting with wines from different regions, detail my unique process, and answer any other questions that the guests have.

Guests are often fascinated with the process and love asking questions. Paintings will be completed by the end of the evening; all of my live painting clients have wanted to keep the paintings from the live events.

Guest Participation: Community Painting

Guests can experience a combination of my personal live painting, as well as an opportunity to try painting a bit for themselves. Prior to the event, I will have painted a large canvas of ink drawings so they can easily spend a few minutes painting. We can tailor this painting to be landscape or variety element-focused (e.g., an event in Palm Springs featured a canvas of palm leaves). I will be painting as well, so that there is both something for them to watch and do. This provides an opportunity for guests to ask questions, participate on their own or in a group, and share the unique experience on their social channels.

Mini Wine Painting Workshops

I’ll provide the guidance, inspiration and curated hand-made supplies for attendees to experience the uniqueness of painting with wine for themselves. This engaging + fun mini workshop will provide a captivating few minutes of creativity and connection where they will come away with a wine painting that they’ll actually want to enjoy in their home or office after the event.

Even if guests don’t fancy themselves to be creative people or are intimidated by the thought of painting, I’m here to be the guide! I create an atmosphere free of intimidation, momentary confidence and full of play. The experience is geared toward beginners since painting with wine is new to most.

Guests will take a seat at an evolving wine painting station to work on a small painting. I’ll provide 2-3 options to select from so they can choose their own adventure: short and sweet {5-10 minutes} or sit and stay for a little while {15-30 minutes}. It will be structured so that no matter what, anyone who comes to paint can walk away with at least one small wine painting to take home.

Organizations with employees in different places would benefit from a virtual team building class.

Their supplies will include

  • 4 handmade wine paints {prepared ahead of time and intended only to be painted with}. These wine paints can match the wine that will be served at the event for full- circle experience.

  • Wine tasting glasses for the wine paint

  • Paintbrushes

  • Specialty paper

  • Washi tape

  • Wine swatches

  • Paper towels

  • Worksheets to help guide their adventure

Intimate Custom Takeaways

Guests will have the opportunity to see the full process of an original wine painting come together. They will be able to choose from a selection of paintings and which wines they’d like to be featured, and I will paint them their own special custom painting. Seeing a painting come to life always creates a deeper connection to the piece and will help serve as a very special keepsake from the event for guests to cherish long after the event has concluded.
