I painted this piece with wines known to be ripe with notes of strawberry: Beaujolais, Pinot Noir, Garnacha, rosé, Grenache with a deep Syrah night sky.

Monday’s full moon was called the Strawberry Moon, named quite literally to signal strawberry picking season. It represents the fleeting sweetness of summer. Summer is such a illusive time of the year, that no matter what, always seems to slip through our fingers. Summer arrives and leaves and we feel like we barely grasped her, speeding up with each passing year.
